Ground static discharge Question

Ground static discharge Question

This might be off-topic, but I'm going to put up a TV Antenna, and I have a
question about the grounding.  I plan to ground the pole itself to the main
house electrical ground (outside).  For this purpose I will use a 6 gauge
wire.  The RCA cable will go from the Antennna to a static-discharge-device.
A 10 gauge wire will come off the static-discharge-unit.  Do I have to run a
separate wire all the way to the main ground for the static-discharge or can
I just merge this wire with the main antenna pole ground?

If I do connect the static-discharge wire to the the main 6 gauge wire, does
anyone have some weather proofing suggestions?

Thanks for your suggestions.
