Hi,

I just purchased a Yaesu FT-8900r and need recomendations for a good
antenna to mount in my Ranger Pickup. This is a 29/50/144/430 radio.

Wes,
How about two or three good antennas? One antenna
won't do it.

There are plenty of good dual banders for 144/440. Maybe a halo for 6
meters. A hamstick for 10.

I'm assuming the rig has separate antenna outlets for the different
bands. What does your owner's manual recommend?

It doesn't. One outlet that is duplexed (quadplexed?). I am looking
at a Comet UHV-6 at the moment.

I have a feeling I have a lot to learn...
