Red Wave Radio

Has anyone had any experiences with the Ventenna?  As I understand it,
this is a "stealth" antenna that fits over the vent pipe on your
roof.

I am considering this to head off aesthetic concerns of my homeowners'
association and my wife.

Anyway, my questions are:

    Does it work?
    How does it work?
    Is it worth the ~$70 it costs?
    Is there a better alternative for a stealthy omnidirectional antenna?

I don't know about comparitive performance but I recently heard of a
weather-vane antenna (with chicken or some-such) decoration on it.  It even
comes with order forms to hand to your neighbors so they can order their
own (of course theirs will just be normal weather-vanes).  One advantage
here would be the mounting height.  Do you think the neighbors would get
suspicious if you had several of them....

What next - antennas that look like lightning rods instead of just acting as
one?  I would like to know how to hide a cubical quad....

BTW- I have also seen flagpole antennas.
