I don't know about comparitive performance but I recently heard of a
weather-vane antenna (with chicken or some-such) decoration on it. It even
comes with order forms to hand to your neighbors so they can order their
own (of course theirs will just be normal weather-vanes). One advantage
here would be the mounting height. Do you think the neighbors would get
suspicious if you had several of them....
What next - antennas that look like lightning rods instead of just acting as
one? I would like to know how to hide a cubical quad....
BTW- I have also seen flagpole antennas.
