car... The best way to prevent this is to start with a clean (new?) magnet
mount, and wipe the area on the car *before* you place the antenna on it.
When you remove the antenna, put a plasic bag around the antenna base,
so that any metal bits the magnet attracts never get stuck on the magnet
base. When you use the antenna again, remove the bag and the magnet
should be clean.
It is a bad idea to put *anything* between the car and the magnet, as it
will
alter the performance of the antenna for the worse...
