No, I think he is in his right mind. I would never order anything from
those guys. I recently got their catalog and found the prices to be good
untill I read the fine print. A $25 yearly membership charge with a
frickin form that asks for references and if you or a member of your
family has ever worked for the FCC. A $2.50 to $8.00 handling charge on
every BOX (must be gold plated), and also their prices seem to
mysteriously change through out their catalog for the same item (fpr
example the Superstar 121 which ranges from $99.00 to $118), and the
final mistake in their catalog is that if you don't become a member, you
will be charged 5% or is it 15% over the listed cost (The rate changes
many times throughout their catalog and flyers).

I am with you all the way Train, Boycot Copper Electronics and H&Y
Electronics A.K.A. W.B.P.A.!

Yeah me to I dealt a couple times with H&Y and they screwed me with
shipping and some stuff came broken or never came I said***that and

What can I say guys and girls.......I just found my old soapbox and wanted
to see if it would still support the weight of my fat butt. Those peckerhaed
rip-off artists from Louisville will just continue to***over as many as
they can for as long as they can. People on the net know of their ***but I
can really feel for the offline fools that are thinking that they are
getting such a great deal. If it sounds to good to be true....it usually is!
I have been in the radio biz for a long time and still know most of the
right people to get what I want or need but in the last year or two have
decided to get away from radio and amp sales and concentrate on the mods end
of the market. Not many people have the mods database I have here so I stay
on that line for now. Having to go back to work set my time schedule back
further that I wanted for bringing out 2 new products but they are
continuing to be updated and should be finished in a month or two with any
luck.
Now that I have gotten things at work caught up from my being out for a few
months I have a little more time to read some of the posting here in the NG
and get on Griffey's ass a little more often when he starts spouting off
with his "know it all " BS.
I guess what I want to say is...............I'M BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love it when someone tells their friend they got a radio "$20 bucks
cheaper" than the local shop by ordering from copper or H&Y . They NEVER
factor in the "mebership fees" , the money they pay yearly for the
"privledge" of getting the advertizements & flyers, The 2 to 5 times over
normal shipping charges ect.................. It's always "Copper (H&Y) has it
for 99 bucks"....... No, ***, that means it's $124.53 delivered. Give
'em hell Train, !!!

I wish I had a scanner to reproduce 3 letters that I'm sure you'd all
love to read regarding H&Y Electronics.... About 5 or 6 years ago I had
been dealing with them when my primary supplier had run short...

They put the serious screws to me by sending a box COD cash only via UPS
that contained refurbished, NONWORKING equipment... upon examining the
boards I wondered if this was some kind of practical joke... my first
tip-off should have been that the shipment was about 15% higher than the
price quoted by Cindy via the telephone... but I incorrectly figured
that I would simply have them correct it later... was I ever wrong!!!
After Joe Gerhart and his entourage played their games I did some
digging and found some great dirt on them... see in Kentucky it seems
they're all related and love a good feud... since I had spent several
thousands of dollars here folks I was not exactly going to let these
people go without some justice... debating on what to do I finally
decided not to act on my inside knowledge on them (actually I was asked
not to unless they refused to cooperate)... instead I chose another
tactic that squared up my account and let us both go our own ways, with
them on file with proper authorities too.

It really angers me to see the leeches are still getting away with their
tactics... besides they have so many personal enemies I figured they
would have already been dealt out some street justice by now... some
never learn do they?

But for those still seeking more formal justice, I urge anyone who has
been screwed by them to call (502) 573-2200 and discuss how they took
you for a ride... the number is the Office of the Attorney General
Consumer Protection Division... they don't care what you bought just how
fair the transaction took place... simply state the facts and see how
quick H&Y (aka A-1 Cars & Freight, C & F Graphics, etc. etc. etc.) will
be calling you asking how can they make you a happy camper...

Trust me folks when I tell you that you'll have better luck winning the
Powerball 3 times in a row than you'll have getting a fair deal with H&Y
or Copper's.

Avoid them like a *** with HIV... no matter how desperate you are now
you'll regret it later.

ROTFLMAO! Excellent! I'm glad to see that someone else has exercised
this approach. I did the same thing to Copper about 5 years ago when
they attempted to give me the shaft.

I noticed this about Scanner World. The best prices - but the most
expensive shipping!

Yikes! I've never dealt with this company, but I know that the days of
high-shipping costs, pay-for catalogs, and members-only-pricing are
thankfully winding or (is that grinding) down. One of the last bastions
seems to be trade shows and the like.
