I have to agree that the Wilson 1000 is a better antenna.

At Copper the K-40 is $39 and if you want to turn it into a magnet mount it will cost an extra $19.

The wilson magnet mount is $69  so they are similiar in cost.
You can also get replacement whips for the wilson's much easier.
