Hello Nathan:   Great story on the Snaefell DX expedition. I loved
Scottland. The site which you parked would be a great antenna comparison
and testing location. Maybe you should try a AH100 AM & SSB handheld?  I
worked in England for a year, a few years back. And the kid and I just
missed the Ferry to the Island of Man, one day.

I've also had a similar experience, by four wheeling up to a mountain top
(taking hours) over looking the Southern California area, only to have the
CB Radio ***out, it received ok, but won't transmit past the hood of the
truck, simply wonderful!

Nice job on copying Lou Franklin's info on PLL chips at your PLL info
page. You could have at least done it in a .PDF format.
