ago about a used CB I had bought from my oldest sister that wouldn't
come on and would spark on the grounded wire.
The consensus was, of course, the CB had been shorted. Many
suggested I replace the diode. I considered it, looking at a
Radio Shack catalog and trying to figure out what was what in the
CB itself. But I decided that since I wouldn't know what I was
doing I'd just buy a new CB, which is what I did. (Of course I
got my money back; my sister hadn't used the radio in a while.)
I'm happy. :-)
