When I was in elementary school, I used to get picked on quite a bit. I
also had a strong need to respond to all the remarks the kids made.
Then one day, I wised up and decided to ignore their comments and began
defending myself.
Soon enough, the kids stopped bothering me. They went away.
As for Burt, I think the best defense for ourselves, the newsgroup, and
anything else Burt is involved in which can make us look bad is to ignore
him.
He has gotten what he wanted - publicity and our attention.
I think it is about time we turn off Burt, turn our attention back to the
matters we really care about (like ham radio), and redirect this
newsgroup back to its intended purpose - Amateur Radio.
Enough said.
