Wanted: Knob for Knight R-100A Receiver

Post by Rob Froh » Thu, 12 Nov 1998 04:00:00

Hi,

I recently acquired an old Knight Kit R-100A receiver, and it is missing a
main tuning knob.  I've scanned a couple of images in of it so you can see
how it
looks.  It is about 1.9 inches in diameter.

A photo of the front is available on the web at:
 http://www.wwc.edu/~frohro/Knight_knob_top.jpg

A photo of the back of the knob is on the web at:
http://www.wwc.edu/~frohro/Knight_knob_bottom.jpg

If you have a spare, please send me a note!

Thanks & 73!

This may help:

Subj:    Parting Out Knight-Kit R-100A Receiver
Date:   11/7/98 17:59:19 Eastern Standard Time

Here' s a strange one to be parting out. All complete, except some knobs are
not original.

You might also note the the Knight R-100A receiver shared the
knob type with the Knight T-60 transmitter as I recall.  You
may have better luck finding one of those being parted out.

Rob:

You should be able to find very similar knobs at most electronic supply
houses, even Radio Shack.  Or are you restoring it, and concerned about
maintaining original parts?
