How to attenuate VHF output?

Post by Tom V » Thu, 23 Apr 1998 04:00:00

I was thinking about building the TenTec 2 to 6 meter transverter
(model 1209,) but the spec says 5W MAX input and my 2M rig puts out 10W
(HTX-212 in low power setting.)  Any suggestions for modifying either
unit to make this work?
Thanks,

The ten-tec can be changed by changing 1 resistor value to handle 10
watts with no problem.  The manual that comes with it shows you how to
do this and what value resistor to use on input pad. No problem, plus
they really work great, I have the model 1208 here and have modified a
1209 to do the 10 watt thing.
