by Anybody out there been successful in making a Hamcom Op Amp interface
that works on the HP 100LX serial port? I tried building one with the
LM741 and got no joy, even after using external power to the chip. I
found that if I tried to turn the HP 100LX off while running HamCom,
it would not respond and HamCom would freeze up requiring a warm
boot. <sigh>
Seems a shame too: I would really like to use the HP100LX and my
portable shortwave (Sony SW7600 retrofitted with a Sony 2010 Narrow
filter) together for RTTY and AMTOR monitoring while traveling.
