How could I, internally or externally, increase the volume of my Uniden-Bearcat
Sportcat 150 handheld scanner?  Thanks

On my scanner, there is a little knob right next to the squelch that says
"volume" and it seems to have some effect on the sound coming out of the
speaker.  That might be what you are looking for.  :)

( Sorry, I just couldn't resist...  sorry I can't offer any real info)

Notice:  I want the volume to go beyond what the volume knob allows.

A few ways come to mind:
Use headphones or an earphone.
Use a powered speaker.
Route the audio out to a stereo.
If you want more power out of the Scancat's speaker, you're on your own
to find an amp to fit in or on the case.

  Take the cover off the battery case.  Dunno why it works exactly, but it
does...
