SCANSHACK VS. RADIOSHACK

  You don't *get* it.
The issue involved here certainly IS relevant to the newsgroup -- it involves
the freedom of speech of someone who, far more than most, has taken the effort
to provide helpful information for scanner enthusiasts.

this age in which scanning is under authoritarian *** by the govt --
short-sighted scannists who can't see the forest for the trees.

This is a legal matter and has NOTHING AT ALL to do with the
hobby/sport of radio scanning.  Take this off topic nonsense to
alt.legal.advice or something.  I think the ScanShack was a cool site
and I wish him well but everyone should show a little respenc for the
scanner groups and take it outside!!!

BTW, yes I know how to use my killfile thank you.  There are about 10
different threads by now and I don't wish to be a Newsreader
Administrator.

Happy Scanning!

The underlying issue here is freedom of speech, not being bullied by some
large, sue-happy company.  This has everything to do with the future of this
hobby and those who would like to take it away from us.

Do YOU get it?  The fact of the matter is this whole issue is a matter
of alleged trademark infringement and has NOTHING to do with the use
of a scanner as I stated originally.  So don't give me that whacko
"he's a government supporter" ***because unlike some of you here,
infringement on the rights of scanner monitoring affects my livelihood
directly.  The less info I get from the scanner, the more difficult it
is for me to do my job.  So go back to your bunker in Montana and keep
the posts in this group on topic. That is they should be related to
the use of a scanner.

For the love of God, I wish this was a moderated group so I wouldn't
have to sift through all of this bullshit to find a few on topic
posts.

You must be a Communist.  Everyone else realizes and admits that the Soviet
Union ceased to exist several years ago.

No, I am not a communist.  I am so hurt by your accusation that I am
crying.  To be honest I come from one of the moons of Jupiter.

Man you really got me good on that one.  I think it's time to change
the old pocket protector there bud.

Are you just too DUH to get it, or what ? This issue touches upon our
relationship with Radio Shack,  and issues about Radio Shack are, indeed
very scanner - related. Lots of us are (former) RS customers, and use Radio
Shack Scanners!
YOUR diatribes on the subject, on the other hand, have NOTHING to do with
scanning ! You complain that "This is clogging up the news group", and yet,
in the same breath, you refuse to use your filters !
As far as posting everthing to both groups, this is sometimes expedient, and
is commonly done (new to the group, huh?)
