Sounds to me like you're just trying to make a quick profit, especially
since this particular scanner was just featured on closeout special for
$139 (including on 12/29/95, the date that you claimed to have purchased
the unit)  

Since the PRO-2026 has been discontinued, I would guess that the sale
will be on again in the very near future.

I dissagree with you Drew.  The modifiable rigs are GONE.  Sure somebody
finds one hidden on the back shelf now and then, but them deals are few
and far between. If you need cellular, then I don't think 2 bills is out
of reason.  That why the 7000's are bringing a grand, it's the old supply
and demand thing.  I'd want $200 for mine too.

The Icom line sells for more primarily due to the high quality of
electronics inside. They are profesional communications receivers that
really shouldn't be compared to a typical "scanner".

is plagued by intermod & "bleeding" . It's ok, but truly not worth $200.

Not all of them.  During the recent sale, I managed to locate no fewer
than FIVE Pro-2026 units with modifiable date codes at a local RS store.

I located at least TWICE that many locally between 4 or 5 Radio Shacks, and at
least half of them were purchased by people I know (I sent them there).
