I'm the happy guinea pig. My full report is on CompuServe HamNet S2. It
really is a superb scanner! Guaranteed, there'll be no interest in it on
here until they aren't available in the UK after the end of the year, since
it's a limited-time-only release. Witness all the people that've come out
of the woodwork looking for uncut scanners since April of last year!

I have a brother-in-law working in London, coming back in a month, who
has previously brought me an MVT7100. I'm now considering selling it
and having him bring me either the 7200 or the AOR8000. I'll get your
7200 report off HamnetS2, but any recommendations from you or other
"power scanner" types as to which I should get?

TIA!

Hello, and thanks for reading this. A friend of mine and myself just
recently purchased 2 Yaesu FRG-9600"S. They are a neat little machine
but somewhat limited in their scanning functions. But with the computer
control capabilities they can be programmed to utilize more scanning
memories and perform functions that most of the modern units will do.
Anyway, i am looking for CAT software for these little gems. If your
actively using a FRG-9600 with some sort of scanning software i would
love to talk to you. There are some outboard converters in use also for
these units. They allow you to receive the entire HF spectrum. I would
like to find out more about them also. Please email me if your familiar
with either of these things.

Many thanks....Bill in Las Vegas, Nv.
