http://www.chq-inc.com/  $119.95 + $6 shipping. I just ordered one from
Burghardt's for $130. Oh well. A year or so ago they were selling for around
$200.

Sorry but I erred. The price was for the IC Q7A that looks just like the R2.

And still aren't half the radio of the Yaesu VR-500 at under $200. This one
receives CW/SSB, etc...

Actually, I kept my R-2, and almost instantly sold the VR-500. the
intermod drove me nuts!  SSB and all that's cool, but if it's getting
***mixed with it, forget it..

Plus,no tone squelch on the VR-500 that and the intermod is why I also got rid of
mine soon after purchase.

I haven't really had a lot of intermod problems.. of course, the first thing
I did was to lose that stupid stock antenna, and put on a telescoping
antenna that I could raise and lower to handle different bands/signal
levels.. the thing was virtually deaf below 8 MHz with the stock antenna..
with the one I'm running on it, it works great. :)

I use the Radio Shack antenna with my scanner.  It does a wonderful
job and at $10, it is hard to beat.  Here is a link:
