You can also find an overview of trunking as well as a list of trunk-capable
scanners and trunking resources at:

 http://www.police-scanner.info/scanning/scantrunk.htm

Good luck & happy scanning,

Simply put, Trunking is a computer controled system of radio use management.

It sets priority and imput of users on the radio system.

See:
http://www.trunkedradio.net/
http://home.att.net/~wwhitby/

For general info.

Not all areas are using Trunked Systems and as may be noted in an earlier Post,
some departments may have gone Trunked but the patrolman still use the
conventional system for informal talks and chats.

Do a Search via: Google or other engine under the terms " Scanner Radio" ,
"Trunked Radio" to learn more.

Also, Police Call will show if your area is Trunked and what type of system is
used.
