Scanning Banks

Scanning Banks

Post by Alecsey Boldesk » Tue, 06 May 2003 13:02:01

Hi there,

I have 6 frequencies stored in bank 9 (channels 00 thru 05). I want my
PRO-95 to continuously scan through these 6 frequencies. So, the guide
suggests that I just start scanning the channels by pressing SCAN. So,
I am in manual mode and I press SCAN and the scanner displays storage
banks.

So, I turn off all banks except for bank 9. Display shows something
like this:

...........9
...........+
Scan UP...

After that, nothing happens and the scanner obviously does not scan.
Random pressing of buttons did not produce any results.

HELP, HELP! I will be grateful for advice on what I am missing. Maybe
I forgot to press some button. Or maybe I am doing something wrong in
the first place -- I am new to this thing.

Thaks so much for your help. If you want you can e-mail me directly to

Alex

With the display as shown the scanner IS scanning. It may be simply that
nothing is being transmitted on those frequencies so the scanner does not
stop on any one of them.

With the scanner scanning as you have described, press the MAN (or manual)
button -- the scanner should stop on one of the six frequencies you've
programmed. Then press [0] and the manual button again. Now you are in manual
mode on channel 900. Make sure that the letter "A" does not appear on the top
line. If it does, press the ATT (or attenuate) button. Press the manual
button five more times and check the same thing on each channel. Also verify
that you have entered each frequency correctly.

Make sure that you have an antenna on the scanner.
