Hi all, I just installed the OS 456 in my 2006.  I was really disapointed
that the software that came with it seemed to be all demo, by third party
sources.  Kind of incomplete if you ask me, anyway I'm in need of
guidance on what software to purchase for this beastie.  All comments
appreciated.

I have a program I got at a ftp site called rm.zip.
for radio manager. It works well with 456. Forgot which ftp site I got
this from but I can mail you a uuencoded copy on the net or a disk.
This is a demo and you can buy the full program for not much money.
I too was disapointed that you can spend 300.00 for some hardware and
they can't include REAL SOFTWARE!!

Let me know.

I too was disappointed with the software that came with my OS456.  Even
the demo software appears to be a mere extension of the front panel controls.
While some things are definite improvements, such as search logging, it
appears that the software designers had no real idea of how a computer
can really assist scanning.  I expect there to be major advances in this
area in the next 1 or 2 years.
