Red Wave Radio

Does anyone have frequencies for scanning AMTRAK?
I plan to take an overnight trip and would like to bring my
scanner and see what I could catch.  The trip originates in
Chicago and ends in western Colorado.

Amtrak uses the frequencies of the road on which its operating. Assuming
you're taking the California Zephyr, it would run over the Burlington
Northern from Chicago to Denver, then on Denver & Rio Grande Western tracks
through Grand Junction. Frequencies of interest would be:

       BN    161.100   Ch 1 - Road & Dispatch
             161.160   Ch 2 - Road & Dispatch
    D&RGW    160.920   Ch 1 - Road
             161.565   Ch 3 - Road
             160.455   Ch 4 - Road

Additionaly, Amtrak uses the following:

    Chicago  160.305   Commissary & Terminal Road
             154.515   Union Station Police  (also 472.3375 ?)
             160.365   Amtrak / Union Station Police
    Denver   161.550   Station Services
