No CODs, what kind of sham are you running?

Don't be so quick to judge.  COD's aren't that common on the swap
newsgroups, I use them all the time.

If a seller ships COD and the buyer refuses to receive and pay for the
package, the seller is stuck for the shipping cost!  I know, this happened
to me several times selling just one radio!

There really isn't a good way to protect the buyer and the seller.  It is
unfortunate.  You just have to establish some trust in a deal.

What makes you think it is a sham? I buy and sell radios all of the time and I
never use COD. The buyer can always refuse the package and then you get stiffed
for the shipping. It takes several weeks for UPS to cough up the dough to the
seller too. I would rather get complete contact information and  provide the
same and place my trust in the person that I'm dealing with. You know what?
I've never been burned and not one person that I have done business--and there
have been several--has complained. Most of the people that hang out around here
are good folks.
