AOR8000 available yet?

Read the specs, if they can be believed all I need to convince me is a
favorable hands-on report. Has anyone had a chance to use this scanner
yet? And, where would you recommend buying a non-crippled version (I
heard some company was considering it for FCC certification. That would
be...a waste.)

Thanks for your help,

Tim

EEB is the AOR distributor for the USA and is trying to get FCC approval.  The
only hands-on report I have seen was a guy that worked for EEB that said he
played with it for a few hours.  Unfortunatly, he didn't have much
constructive to say except that he didn't notice any problems.  He didn't have
the instructions with him, so he didn't use many features.

If it has good RF performance, I'll be selling my wife's car to get one. :-)
