Source for Yupiteru 7100 aerials or what other telescoping aerials perform similarly

Hi,

I'm considering a Yupiteru 9000 Mk II but have heard that the included
antenna is useless compared to the one that came with the MVT7100.
Can anyone suggest a place to purchase just the 7100 antenna.  I'm
aware of a lot of other telescoping antennas (Radio Shack 20-006,
Watson 889,).   Would these be just as good as the 7100 antenna?  I
have checked the antenna reviews at Strongsignals.net but I would want
to see what your personal experiences are with using telescoping
antennas on the MVT9000?

Thanks,
Felix

I have a Yupi 7100 and use only the 20-006 RS one.  It is far superior to
the collapsible, bendable one that came with the 7100.  So far as I can
tell, the stock antenna is good only to keep my Ovaltine in solution, it
will not matter if it rusts, its useless anyway.

The 7100 telescopic antenna is about 2ft 6 inches long and connected to
a BNC plug. Any similar arrangement will work as well.

Order the 7100 aerial from whoever you get the 9000 from.

If you mention the reception problem, you may get a discount.

I was the one who found the Yuppie 9000 aerial is deaf and spread it about.

For some more detail on the problem, I can supply some attachments to read.

E-mail me privately.
