That (subject line) is the red letter headline in the World & Nation
front page of the Las Vegas Sun newspaper for Monday 11-28-94.  Quotes:

"It's very sad.  People still have an expectation of privacy on a cellular
phone," said Winn Schwartau of security consultants Interpact Inc. in
Seminole Florida.

But every day more than 17,000 people sign up for cellular phones,
estimated to reach 24 Million Americans by year-end.

"It is extreamly easy to pick up conversations," said David Haverling,
network director for the Bell Atlantic Mobile cellular system.  "The
person listening with the equivalent of a scanner is almost a voyuer."

Does that mean the person on the cell phone is an exhibitionist???
