Hello Clay, As you may know, I have had an Ontario
Web Page for Scanning frequencies for sometime now. In a public
post on REC.RADIO.SCANNER I noticed a link mentioned about
your page. It has been some time since I checked your page
What I found today in the Ontario section seems to be outdated.
You also have copies of information from past web pages and
posts of mine directly in your pages. I do not agree with
this for a few reasons.
First, A lot of work goes into making sure that my information
is correct and up to date. You seem to have older material
of mine some even from FEB 95. While you do give me credit in
some places, this is to old and incorrect info. In many places
there is no credit at all.
I have no problem with you linking to my pages or using some of
this public information, I do when it is a direct copy of past
work of mine. I don't think I have to explain why.
May I suggest you take some time to look at your Ontario pages and
have a look at what I am talking about. I think you will be able
to find it easily. Also most of the information is repeated with
credit to others. I don't understand this.
Please don't misunderstand me. I do not want to discourage you
from having an Ontario section. Its a hobby and we are helping
others out. But we both know how much time it takes to update
and correct our material. You may find it easier to link to me
instead. At least we could provide accurate information
this way, when my job involves scanning in Ontario and I can keep
track of these changes almost daily.
