HELP!! with BC-200XLT Major Problem!!

Post by Jason Tsangar » Sat, 24 Aug 1996 04:00:00

Hi,

I have a major problem with my BC200-XLT scanner.  The other day, I was
using it when the battery died.  I have a second identical battery that
I thought might be charged.  I put it on, but the scanner would still not
power on.

Next, using this method with both batteries, I tried to power the unit by
plugging it in.  Still, no power.  It will not turn on.

Has anyone seen this problem before or does anyone know what I should do?
I have had this scanner for only 4 years, it should still be working and I
really can't afford a new one.

Please, anyone and everyone that has any advice please help!

Also, please emial your responses so I can get them faster.

Attn:  Bob Grove, I have seen you post here before, and I feel you might
have a solution to my problem.  Hope to here from you!

Thanks in advance,

I have had my BC200XLT for 8 years and periodically I have a similar
problem in that it will not turn on even though the batt pack is fully
charged. I can get it to turn on by plugging in the unit while I turn it
on then unplugging it while it is on. The problem goes away within a week.
Returns maybe 4 months later. You may want to clean the contacts on the
batt pack. Good luck.
