Then what the Hell is cloning good for any ways if you can't clone
between other cloning models, and future sets..
they better get it right.. thats why I went with the Pro-94a and love
it.. 1000 channel scanner kicks ass.. I have a choice. and I picked  the
pro-94a... for 150.00 bucks you can't go wrong..

Well, you can clone sheep to sheep, or dogs to dogs, but not sheep to
dogs.

Likewise, you can clone 92s to 92s, and 93s to 93s, but not 92s to
93s.

How could one expect to clone 500 channels to 300 channels?

How could one expect to clone LTR channels to a radio that doesn't
receive LTR?

Guees you need a pencil and a piece of paper, a lot of time, and do it
the old fashioned way!

Hope you enjoy programming 1000 channels and 1000 talkgroups by hand. You
probably like lots of intermod on your radios too. Yep, the PRO-94 is one
kick ass radio - NOT.

I have a Pro 94a and it IS a great scanner... but I'm thinking of
taking it back and waiting for the Pro 93 to go on sale.

Yeah, I saw the Pro-94 for $150 and had my wallet out.  But after looking at
the difference, I'd rather wait and spend a little more on the Pro-93

I've done some homework on the 93... there are some problems with the
first release of this product.  I would expect RS would fix these
problems under their warranty, but am hoping to get a clarification.
It's quite possible that they will not, however and I will end up
keeping the 94.

What kind of problems are there?

Pro-92 and Pro-93 Cloneable?

Here are some links to the comments of others... the more I think
about it, I want a Pro-95 with all of the features of a Pro-92, the
enhancements of a Pro-93, the neat things of a Pro-94 and I'll buy the
1st revision of that product <grin>

And a comparison to the Pro 92 makes me want to wait for the "Pro-95":

I am not so certain about the Pro 93. About the only thing that I did
like was the fact that it runs on 4 batteries instead of 6. You have
200 less channels than the Pro 92, less trunking capability (LTR), no
CTCSS/DCS search and display as the Pro 92, no aviation, and no
supporting programing software. Also, the Pro 93 operates off of
firmware version 1.0 (Not Good)if ths is the same firmware used in the
initial pro 92. And the price is the same as the PRO 92. So why pay
the same for less?
