 I cannot get the alpha-tags to pop-up
during scanning. I'm trunking an EDAC
system. When I enter alpha-tags for
 a local conventional system, they
work just fine! Can someone tell me
 what the deal is?

I believe this is a fault with the WinScan Program. It should be fixed with
the next WinScan update due in early 2000.

There has been discussion re this problem on the Strong Signals Trunking
Board at;

Winscan is aware of the problem , I bought it and the alpha tags display but not consistently. They issued a
patch 1.1 but that didn't solve it and are supposed to issue another patch in January, or so they told me.

Pozilla Software really missed the mark on telling registered
owners of the upgrade.  I found out the same way you just did

with your name, home address, e-mail address, and tell them
you still have version 1.0, they will e-mail you the 1.1 patch.

Good luck,

Robert

Has the demo also been updated to properly display the alpha tags? I'm very
interested in trying this program again, but the demo isn't much good if it
doesn't actually work properly.
