Yes, it's true. If you are really interested in knowing the codes buy
the POLICE CALL from RS.

 The codes in Radio Shack's POLICE CALL aren't always correct. Don't
 bother asking whoever's working the Radio Shack store, as if what you
 ask them isn't in a book in front of them, then they're lost. You'd be
 far better off finding an independant retail dealer who sells &
 actually knows something about scanners, and knows the area &/or
 particular law enforcement agency that you're interested in.
