BC 200XLT Battery replacement help needed

Post by BuckeyeRe » Thu, 23 May 2002 06:57:16

Well my 11 year old battery pack finally died and I want to replace
the insert instead of buying a new pack, can anyone tell me if I can
get the insert at Radio Shack? It would be nice to go with Ni-MH if I
can. Can I get two cordless phone 3.6v and cut the plugs off and
wire them in series and solder to the existing wires in the pack?
Thanks for any help.

Tim

Yes it can be done I put in 1100 mah batteries in mine  ayear or so
ago.

They work great. Need bit larger charger or more time charging from
stock charger.

Make your own its cheaper. To buy from Radio shack you can get
batteries seperate  for the same money but will be twice the capacity
