        I doubt that it matters. I have an "A". Given the choice I'd likely opt
for an "A", as much for political reasons as any other, I guess; but overall
performance seems identical according to the tests I've seen reported.

        Neither. The '92 is "made" (that is to say, designed though not
necessarily assembled) by GRE not by OptoElectroincs. The 94 is a Uniden clone.
