if anyone here has or knows of mods for both the above receivers can you

BTW The realistic pro 2042 is the model that was sold in the UK

If you are in the US, the transformer and power cord on
the 2042 can be swapped out for the US version.  You
might want to install an OS535 interface for full computer control
and also a PROgramit Interface to program the 1000 channel
memory.
