The display works somewhat like your weather radio. First, you have to
press the function button then the wx button to get into the S.A.M.E. mode.
What that does is, it puts the radio in the standy monitoring the weather
for the same tones and codes. When your scanner receives those tones and
codes it displays what the warning is, (I.E., Tornado Warning, Severe
Thunderstorm Warning or Watch, ect.) but it does not state for what county
or the time remaining or anything else. Also, while you are in this mode to
receive the same messages and display, you cannot monitor anything else. So,
if you wanted to listen to the local agencies, and still receive the same
messages, then you cannot. Maybe that makes heads or tails out of that. If I
