In the Miami area and other metro areas Fhp uses 900 mhz trunked! But
there signal digitly coded! Some area they use VHF 154.000 to 156.000!
The Turnpike UHF Patrol uses 453.000 to 454.000.

FHP
154.665 x       MIAMI KIB477  CH1
154.68  x       BROWARD       CH2
154.695 x       MIAMI KIB477  CH3
154.92  x       AERO KIB477   CH4
155.445 x       INPUT 154.680
453.575 x
453.625 x
453.675 x
453.725 x

These are the statewide Vhf\Uhf freqs that are still

> The FHP uses only a handful of frequencies (except on the lower SE

coast where they use an 800 MHz digital system).

Plug in 154.665, 154.680, 154.695, 154.920,155.370, 45.060, 154.845 ,
154.860 (the latter two are used in Ft. Myers and Brooksville.)

Also on the Florida Turnpike search between 453.000 and 454.000 for
Turnpike communications.

I don't know about 800MHz, but there are only 4 VHF freqs + UHF vehicle
extender. F4 is car-car. Of the other 3 VHF, which run repeaters, which one is
in primary use depends on the patrol station, rather than county /per se/.

It's easiest to simply monitor all 3 VHF repeaters. For detailed info, I
recommend Scanner Master Florida Communications Guide, or you can reverse-
engineer Police Call Volume 6 under Florida, State Of.

Troop K operates on the Florida Turnpike and has its own set of frequencies,
which are all UHF except for the vehicle extenders (opposite of the other
troops).
