Red Wave Radio

Some cordless phones show the caller ID on the handset. Has anyone
considered writing a program to decode the caller ID data transmitted
by the cordless base, or has that already been done? I supposed each
manufacturer has their own method of transmitting the caller ID to
the handset which would complicate things, or is there a standard?
