I am interested in finding out how to modify the volume on my Sportcat
scanner. I need to raise the volume so I can hear the race cars at
some of the Winston Cup Races. I know this can be done by companies
that sell scanners, but I am interested in doing this myself. Please
send me some email as how to or where to find the modification.

Well I bought one at Wal-mart, of course the speaker is not modified.
My friend bought one (SC150 that is) also, from Racing Electronics which
claims to be audio modified. We tested them side by side and could not
tell any difference between the two. I wouldn't waste my time with
modifying the audio output. I also have a BC3000xlt--sure wish I could
modify its audio.
