yet avaliable--according to Grove). I don't know what CTCSS is.
Could someone please tell me?
Also, the recommended use is for "remote areas for outside antenna."
This is a problem because I live in the suburbs of St. Louis. Right
now, I have the PRO-2022 with the $18 scanner roof antenna from RS.
I often pick up a lot of ***on it--it's hard to describe what it is.
It's essentially a lot of noise--and I don't like it! I have a feeling
that it is called "intermod" but I'm not sure.
So, if I would buy this scanner w/ the CTCSS, would it cure the
problem of experiencing intermod? I'm not too knowledgable with all
these terms (as if you couldn't tell).
Any thoughts on the above, and the general performance of the scanner
would be greatly appreciated! Thanks...
