Red Wave Radio

It seems that the volume on my trusty 2006 is not as strong as it used
to be.  The radio is working fine otherwise but it seems to me that I
have to turn that volume knob to a higher setting than I used to to get
a comfortable listening level.  Has anyone else encountered this or is
old age (and poor hearing) just creeping up on me?

Could be the age of your radio and not your ears. Try replacing C226,
100uF 16V capacitor. It is used for audio output coupling and may have
degraded over the years.
