For Sale- scanner items.  I wish to sell the above items  I will take offers
until Monday 2/17/97 10pm eastern time.  You may email me with an offer for
any or all the items below.  I will give preference to someone who will
purchase the whole lot. Highest bid received by above deadline will win.

Here is what I would like:

$120 for the whole lot *I* pay shipping

$50  for Bearcat 300 you pay shipping
$50  for 800Mhz convertor you pay shipping
$20  for tape activator you pay shipping

Descriptions of above items appear below

Bearcat 300 scanner in good working condition  $50 you pay shipping

Base scanner with 12V input for mobile use
Scans 10cps
50 channel memory in 5 banks
Service search
All the usual bands (no 800MHz)
Mobile mounting bracket included
Fluorescent display (hard to see in your car)

Good begining scanner.  As a matter of fact, this was my first programmable
scanner.

800MHz downconverter $50 you pay shipping

Similar to the GRE superconverter offered by Grove.  Connects to the
Motorola jack on the back of most older scanners including the Bearcat 300
above.  I assume you could replace the Motorola with a BNC connector.  The
converter requires an external 12V power source (An old AC adapter works
fine) and an external antenna (at one point I made a 4" 800MHz antenna out of
a piece of coat hanger soldered to a Motorola male connector-very easy to do!
I'd include it, but cant find it).  This converter works by taking 800Mhz
signals and converts it down by 382 Mhz.  Any scanner that can tune the UHF-T
band can hear most 800Mhz stuff (all scanners I can think of can tune this
range).

Nitelogger tape recorder activator $20 you pay shipping

Connects to scanner audio jack and tape recorder mic and remote control
jack.  Will switch tape recorder on and off when audio is present on scanner.

I have used all of the above devices together at one time or another and they
work well as a system!
