Hi,

Is it a good idea to buy a first run of a new model like a 245XLT?
Or should i wait after awhile because the later runs of the model may
have improvements and fix any bugs if any.

That may be a good point, but the best thing to do is buy a GOOD USED scanner.
Pawnbrokers, and YARD or GARAGE sales are good sources of these. I have picked
up some NICE items from these places. (I like the older scanners anyway).
