In the VHF and Federal Goverment allocations, the offset between the
mobiles and their related bases/repeaters is mostly pot luck. Where the
FCC has allocated bands with fixed offsets, the frequencies (in MHz) are:

Base/Repeater     Mobiles         Offset

152             157-158         (note)  VHF mobile phone / Taxis
  160-162         156-157          - 4.6  Maritime VHF
  217-218         219-220          + 2    Maritime - AMTS
  220-221         221-222          + 1
  422-425         427-430          + 5    Detroit, Cleveland, Buffalo
  450-455         455-460          + 5
  457             467              +10    Maritime on-board UHF
  460-465         465-470          + 5
470-509         473-512          + 3    TV chs used in Metro areas
  851-896         806-851          -45
  935-940         896-901          -39

Notes:  VHF phones offsets are: 152.03-.21 +6.46; 152.51-.81 +5.26
        Taxi offsets are: 152.27-.45  +5.26
Maritime VHF coastal stations are 160.625-162.025 MHz.
Maritime on-board UHF repeaters are 457.525-.600
In the 'T-band' (TV chs 14-20), bases are in the lower 3 MHz
           of each 6 MHz channel.
The 800 MHz Air-Ground telephone usage is reversed - ground
stations are on the lower freqs (849-851 MHz).
