Red Wave Radio

The dial lights on my Kenwood TS-930 (S meter) keep burning out.
I am getting only about 2 years of operation before I have to replace
them, and they are very expensive when/if I can find them.

Is this a common problem?  Is there an alternate bulb that works
longer?

Fabricate some way to use these new bright white LED's.
They'll last a lot longer then those darn grain of wheat bulbs...

Before you buy.

Yes, it can be a problem.Try to get some higher voltage bulbs
next time and they last better. eg 28v.

Also keep the dimmer on all the time. That drops the voltage.
