Dear OM's and YL's
I got a used Ten-Tec OMNI D and i'm vy satisfied with it, except
the strong chirp cw signal. Other OM's told me, that it's normal
for this rig, which was build in about 1977 but i think, that cannot
possible, because the original adverti***t text says, that this
rig has a very clear cw signal. Since I'm not a vy "technical" OM I ask
you, if you have any experience with the a.m. rig or any idea, how
to improve the cw signal.

It's not normal. TenTec rigs are noted for being great sounding CW rigs.
I would check the power supply first. Watch the voltage with key up and
key down. If there is a large change there may be a regulation problem,
or you may need a bigger supply.
