89 Ford Bronco static problem

Post by Dan Walke » Thu, 22 Feb 1996 04:00:00

I have a strange interference problem in my Bronco.

There is always a certain amount of static in the receiver, but it's
not unbearable unless I turn the steering wheel to the left! When the
wheel is moved to the left the static completely drowns out the
receiver.

When I had my oil changed, the mechanic replaced the PCV valve. Now I
get no static at all UNLESS the wheel is turned to the left.

Anyone have a similar problem?

Yes I had a similar problem and it turned out to be a low oil sensor in the oil pan. I just unpluged it, I know how to use the dip
stick anyway.
