Red Wave Radio

I'm in a highrise in a city.  I found by putting the flex antenna on a
75ohm bnc cable out
the window, I get aalot more freqs.

I probably want something I can just put out the window for the night, then
bring back in.

Recommendations on wire?  (any with bnc on already, as in Radio shack?)

and antenna for 800/900 mhz that will also do other freqs,

Also, can the wiring in the building be used as an antenna?  I tried hooking
wire to the switchplate***(grounded) but got poor results.

Try Radio Shack's magnetic mount mobile scanner antenna!

Dear Spacely Sprockets;
    If you want a damn good antenna, use a CB antenna(adjustable), you might
want to experiment with a standard am radio retractable, by the way check
your ohms. I've been playing around with antennas for about 12 years now and
find this is the way to go , unless you are trying to single out one
particular band.
