Good Icom dealer- Hong Kong

Good Icom dealer- Hong Kong

I got sent on a last-minute business trip, and am now in Hong Kong.
In the Causeway Bay area there are about 10 little camera/hi-fi/Icom
dealers, each a small downtown shop.  It's wild- they all have
the full range of Icom hand-helds, going back to day one.  Each
has older radios, all covered with dust- u2ATs, u4ATs, u3's (Eur. 430?)
and u6's etc.  The catch is, they are all priced at the moon- They
are hoping to catch tourists who will pay full price and then some.
As an example, one place quoted me $328 for a dusty H8 (u2 style VHF
comml rig- I'm a "u" series fan.  If you look at them funny they may
come down to $200.  One guy has pretty good prices- it looks like
real list is the same as US. Also, does anybody know about the H8/U8 series?
Do they use crystals?

Erick,

The H8 and U8 radios are Land Mobile radios and require the EX-704 with wersion 2.1
firmware to program them.
