Red Wave Radio

A M Radio poor reception help...Newbie needs help

I live in the S F Bay Area. I want to listen to some radio garden shows
coming out of the L A Area.
The reception is very poor. I have heard you can buy some ....brand
..radios that pick up these far and weak signals.

I have also heard you can put a ..magnet....next to a radio to help the
weak signals.

I think they sell these at Good Guys? 40 bucks?

Whats a cheap solution to help me hear these weak stations?
