HELP KENWOOD TH-78A ANTENNA ?

HELP KENWOOD TH-78A ANTENNA ?

I noticed that my BNC antenna connection was loose on my hand held.  I took
the radio apart to find that the center conductor was not soldered to
anything but resting against a wire.  Does anyone have the same radio and
can you tell me if the center conductor is supposed to be soldered?
