I have been having little success in getting a copy of Motorola R-56 out of
the local reps.  Does anyone know how I can order it?  I need to know the
Moto part # or how to retrieve it.  If you can pass along the order number,
that'd save some time too.

In the same arena, I am looking for copies of some Bellcore specs on BITS.
Any pointers would be appreciated.

Here's some phone numbers for Motorola that might help:
Motorola Parts Identification Service:     708-538-0021
Motorola National Parts Order Line   :     800-422-4210

First you call the Parts ID people and they find the stock number of what
you want. Then you call the Order people and give them that number. They
can sell to you direct. I've found prices on service manuals to be 1/3 to
1/2 of what a local Motorola facility charges.
